Dear Holy Cross College Community
Welcome to Term Two!
I hope the holiday break provided some opportunities for families to come together and enjoy the time.
ANZAC Day

We commenced the term with our ANZAC liturgy and service. ANZAC Day is observed on Friday 25 April, and is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. It is a time when we remember and acknowledge those that served, died and suffered in all wars and conflicts. Thank you to Deputy Principal, Ben Bull for the organisation, Tracey Trist for sharing her knowledge and experiences, as well as to Kerry Sloper for the musicianship. Thank you to our wonderful students who participated in the service.
College Uniform
The students returned with the majority wearing the correct school uniform. Thank you for the continued support for the standards we expect. Unfortunately, we still have a number of students who are not conforming with our policy. We are seeing the wrong earrings, incorrect jewellery, makeup, and the wrong socks. Also, some students are wearing the College sports jacket with their Winter uniform. In keeping with our high standards, individual students will be questioned when they are not in the correct uniform. Thank you to our parents who write a note explaining certain situations in relation to uniform when an exemption is required for the day. Please see the Standards for Grooming and Uniform here.
COVID19

Welcome back! Everything is back to normal in relation to parents being on school site, volunteering and attending events.
Mask wearing is not compulsory; however, masks must be worn whenever on a bus. Students who are asymptomatic household close contacts can attend school, but will need to wear a mask for 7 days, as well as have a RAT test with a negative result each day.
Please continue to use the Portal to report your COVID test results.
Information was sent home today.
