Book Week 2019 will be celebrated across the College during Week Three, Winter Term. Reading is a gift and we like to celebrate this gift during Book Week.
To celebrate and promote the power of reading, the College will be will be hosting a Book Fair starting in Week 3 which will run from Thursday 8 August until Wednesday 14 August in San Salvador (LRC).
The College will also be celebrating our annual Book Week Dress Up Day on Thursday 8 August 2019. Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as one of their favourite characters from a book/story.

As always, please don’t go to any great expense – the simpler the better!
The Book Week theme this year is, ‘Reading is my Secret Power” so helping your child come dressed as a book character with ‘powers’ is one idea, otherwise you of course have a vast array of book characters!

Here are some prompts to start discussions with your children:
- How can reading be a power?
- How can reading be a secret power?
- What is the difference between a secret power and a super power? Could reading be both?
- Why would somebody want to keep a power secret?
The College Standards for Uniform and Grooming on free-dress, jewellery and makeup will apply. Students are not permitted to wear short skirts or shorts, low-cut or skimpy tops or clothing with inappropriate logos.
