Blessed Oscar Romero will be canonised in Rome on Sunday, 14 October 2018. This is a very special time for Holy Cross College, as Oscar Romero is our College patron.
Canonisation is the act of admitting a deceased person into the Canon of Saints in the Catholic Church. This is a significant once in a lifetime occasion in which it would be fitting that Holy Cross College is represented at the event. Therefore, the College Board has agreed to sponsor a small group from Holy Cross College to attend the Canonisation in Rome, Italy.
The trip will take place from 8 – 17 October 2018. The tour will include visiting Rome and also completing a section of the Benedictine Camino in the vicinity of either Subiaco or Montecassino.
The trip will include three students. Students in Years 10 and 11 interested in attending are requested to complete the Application Form, available on LIFE Support and submit it to the College Principal, via the Principal’s Assistant, by 4pm on Thursday, 2 August 2018.
