Drama Students Dive Into Hotel Sorrento

Year 11 and 12 Drama students are currently well into rehearsals for the Senior Class Play of the classic Australian text ‘Hotel Sorrento’. The challenging text tackles the themes of family tension, Australian identity and the cultural cringe and students are working as a tight knit group to bring the dramatic text to life. The unique staging design has allowed a cross curricular link with the Year 11 and 12 General Construction students building a jetty structure which will represent the iconic Sorrento pier as well as form part of the staging. ‘Hotel Sorrento’ will take to the stage at Holy Cross College from 27-29 June 2019 in the New Norcia Building and ticket details will be available next term.
