Frayne Feast Day

Last Wednesday we gather together to celebrate the life and work of Mother Ursula Frayne; a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy founded by Catherine McAuley in 1831.

As members of Frayne House we acknowledge our strong association with the Sisters of Mercy and follow Ursula Frayne’s example, challenging each person to achieve their personal best in an environment which values the respect and dignity of each person. We welcomed Sr Breda O’Reily RSM who joined us for our celebration.

We created a puzzle to remember the life and works of Mother Ursula Frayne and to unite our house together as one, as we are all unique individuals but when we come together, we are a masterpiece. We presented our masterpiece during mass. A donation of $125.50 was raised for Mercyworks in Northbridge who like Ursula Frayne, continue to work with the most vulnerable people across Australia and New Zealand.

Following mass, the celebrations continued with our House lunch. Both the Junior and Senior School enjoyed some Italian homemade style pizza and a drink with integrated seating and some House games.
