Holy Cross Claims Third Christian Drama Shield

For the third consecutive year, Holy Cross College Middle and Senior School Drama students have triumphed at the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival in the Christian Drama category. A group of ten students from Years Seven to Year Twelve performed a reverent and symbolic piece of physical theatre centred around the story of Dom Salvado, his journey to Western Australia and the foundation of New Norcia. The drama also explored Holy Cross’ connection to pilgrimage.

Described by adjudicators as moving, dramatic and captivating, these students are to be congratulated. They performed alongside schools such as Trinity, St Brigids and Mercy College.

Group representative Eva Ladyman (Year Ten) attended the Festival Concert at the Perth Concert Hall on Monday last week where she was presented with the award alongside shield winners from across the Festival events!

Congratulations to all staff and students involved!
