The Tenth Anniversary Celebration Mass was a wonderful occasion to come together as a College community in thanksgiving for our journey over the last ten years. In preparation for Mass, the talents of our drama students, liturgical dancers and a digital, visual compilation combined to produce a truly moving experience, inviting the congregation to be immersed in the stories of our College and House Patrons. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Don Sproxton, Auxiliary Bishop of Perth, assisted by Bishop Justin Bianchini, Emeritus Bishop of Geraldton, Abbot John Herbert and Father Robert Nixon of New Norcia and Fathers Bonaventure Echeta and Mercelo Para Gonzalez, from our Parish. In his Homily, Bishop Don highlighted how our College community, led by Christ and inspired by the examples our Patrons, provide us with the means to live out the Gospel message: to have life, and life it to the full.

During the Mass, recently acquired crosses and artefacts to be displayed throughout the College were blessed by Bishop Sproxton. The blessing included the Traying Cross, made from the wood of the original family home of Irene McCormack, a cross from Lyon and an icon and relic of St Oscar Romero. At the conclusion of Mass, students, staff and guests were delighted with a short performance by Fr Robert Nixon, who played an original piano composition, containing music originally written and performed by Dom Rosendo Salvado.
