Italian Week Success

Last week the College celebrated Italy, its language and its culture. Students across the school were involved in many activities during their Italian lessons and during lunch time. 

The students participated in competitions winning prizes all week, and learned Italian language and culture through games and food. There was a clever buddy team work Inter-relationships system between Junior, Middle and Senior students.

Here is what some of our students thought about Italian Week:

Italian week is the best week of school! It is a time to celebrate the culture in Italy that our amazing Italian teachers bring to our school. There was food, fairy floss, face painting, card games, mosaics, soccer and so much more.

La settimana italiana è la settimana migliore della scuola. É la celebrazione  della cultura Italiana che le nostre insegnanti italiane portano alla nostra scuola. C’era il cibo, lo zucchero filato, face painting, gioco di carte, mosaici, calcio e più. (Year 11)

Italian week was an amazing experience! I learnt how to play a card game called rubamazzetto, I got face painting and I even got Italian hot chocolate and fairy floss. (Year 5)

Thank you for the things that the Italian teacher gave to us like Cioccolata con panna e Zucchero filato. (Year 3)

I liked playing card game because is a new and exciting experience. It is very fun and different to other games. (Year 5)
