An important part of the learning journey for students is having opportunities to reflect on their learning and to plan for growth. In particular, given the current educational climate, it is critical to continue to have a strong partnership between students, parents and teachers.
Learning Conversations take place with families and the Class Teacher (Junior School) or Subject Teacher (Senior School). Families with more than one child at the College will need to book separate appointments for each child.
For Senior School, it is not compulsory to make appointments for all subjects except where indicated on the PTO booking page. This will be indicated by an exclamation point under the subject name. Year Twelve Parents are strongly encouraged to make appointments for all their courses.
Learning Conversations will take place as follows:
Kindy to Year 6 and Years 10-12
Wednesday 24 March – 12.30pm-7.30pm
Kindy to Year 6
Thursday 25 March – 3.30pm-5.30pm
Please note that Wednesday 24 March is Early Close (12:00pm). For Junior School students, bookings can be made through Camp Australia as required. For Middle and Senior School students, should you require, San Salvador (Learning Resource Centre) will be available from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
Years 7-9 Learning Conversations will take place on Thursday 22 April. Further information will follow closer to the date.
The Learning Conversation will be a maximum of 15 minutes in length for Junior School and 10 minutes for Senior School. You are asked to please restrict yourself to this time. Should the conversation need to continue past this time another appointment with the staff member should then be arranged.
