LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER

This week  a group of System leaders, Principals and Teachers from Catholic Education Tasmania visited Holy Cross College. They were particularly interested in the pedagogical approach in the early years and spent some time in Tui, talking with the teachers, as well as visiting Fitzroy and other areas of the College.  It was an excellent opportunity for all those involved to learn from each other.  Thanks to Mrs Vanja Basell and Miss Hannah Sibbald for their work in preparing for the visit and for their excellent presentations on Early Learning at Holy Cross College.

SCHOOL AT THE POOL

Students in Years One to Year Three commenced their swimming lessons this week. The hot weather has made it an ideal tome for the students to get in the water to learn some new skills.  The Middle and Senior School Swimming Carnival will be held tomorrow at the HBF Arena in Joondalup. I look forward to seeing strong House spirit as students participate in a variety of competitive and novelty events. This is a compulsory day for students who in enrolling at the College commit themselves to participating in all areas of the LIFE curriculum. I appreciate the many parents who come along to support the carnival and to assist with the running of the event.
