Lego Masters Mania Hits HCC!

As part of the newly formed Holy Cross College Lego Club, an after school workshop was held 60 members of the club on Friday of Week 3. Students engaged in Lego Building Challenges and Team Building Exercises. Little did the students know however that two very special guests had been arranged to assist in and judge the challenges. In a moment of great excitement, Owen and Scotty from smash hit Channel Nine series ‘Lego Masters’ arrived at the workshop with the students excited beyond belief to meet two of the country’s best Lego builders!

Owen and Scotty encouraged the students to be creative, resilient and resourceful with their Lego builds before taking some questions from the group. This was followed by a timed challenge in which students had 1 hour to build a car designed to roll the furthest distance off a ramp. The room was abuzz with excitement and activity as Scotty and Owen assisted the students, also building trophies for the winning team within the same time frame.

The afternoon was a huge success and we can’t wait for what students build and create in their upcoming Lego Club sessions in preparation for their end of term Lego Expo! We thank Owen and Scotty for their generosity in giving up their time and inspiring the next generation of Lego Masters!
