Father Bonaventure of our St Helena of the Holy Cross Church has his own news blog. Father Bona has good news to share about the improvements in facilities at St Helena’s.
Let’s grow together with new beginnings and innovative ways to help.
The Catholic Parish Schools of Ellenbrook and its environs are fast growing. The relationship between the Parish and the Schools are second to none. Our lovely students, staff and families make our community a great place of joy and fun where we can thrive together. We are embarking on a beautiful journey of growth in structure and vitality. As a result of this, we will be building a new parish centre next to the church and a home for our Priests. By neighbouring the church, this enables our priests to attend to the needs of our schools and our communities. We will be undertaking some projects to accommodate our growing community of Ellenbrook, Aveley, The Vines, Dayton, Henley Brook, Brabham, St Leonards and Whitman Edge. This will include a fence surrounding the grounds, the presbytery, columbarium, parish centre together with our memorial garden to put to rest deceased members of our community. The parish centre will be serving as a place for everyone to congregate. It can be used for a number of events including youth gatherings, weddings, baptisms, Sunday school and other such occasions. In order for us to realise this, we solicit for help in any way. Remember ‘there is more joy in giving than receiving’ and ‘blessed is the hand that gives, than the one that receives’. With this in mind, we encourage you to be a part of this new chapter in our schools’ parish community. We are growing and we want everyone to be a part of it. Let’s grow together.
