LIFE Week has been a wonderful week in the College with students engaged in Retreats, Pilgrimages, Liturgies, Camps and Excursions. I had the pleasure of walking with the Year Four, Year Eight and Year Eleven students on Camino during the week. We had a great opportunity to marvel at the wonder of God’s creation as we viewed the stunning display of wildflowers in Walyunga National Park. It was an excellent opportunity to reflect on our responsibilities as stewards of creation. I also visited the Year Eleven students on Retreat in Serpentine as they reflected on ‘Life in all its Fullness’ and met up with the Year Five students at Mercedes College, where they had stayed overnight as part of the their Mother Ursula Frayne Pilgrimage. The Year Two students were full of excitement when I joined them at the Toy Museum in Guildford. LIFE Week is always a very special week at Holy Cross and I thank staff for all their work in preparing for it and parents who assisted with various activities.
A reminder that the College will be closed on Monday 1 September and classes resume on Tuesday 3 September.
