Dear Holy Cross College Community,

Thank you to our Friends of Holy Cross for organising the Mother’s Day stalls, as well as for the commitment to the plans that are in place for fundraising for 2021. These initiatives take time and effort, in addition to the normal family routine. We greatly appreciate the contribution of the FHC, as well as the support from our parents who cannot participate in the meetings. Thank you!
Mother’s Day Liturgy

Thank you to all our Mothers who could attend the Liturgy this week. It was engaging and touched with special moments for interaction. Thank you to staff members, Mrs Sharna Bateman and Mrs Jackie Holbrook, for their planning and organisation that captured our hearts. Thank you also to the Topliss family and our student readers for your contribution.

Our Canteen Manager, Mrs Cathie Lewis, along with Mrs Carol Oats and Mrs Sarah Love, once again, prepared a lovely breakfast for our Mothers and their children. It was a beautiful way to start the day. I hope you enjoyed it.
Kindergarten and PP Mother’s Day

Thank you to the many mothers/grandmothers/guardians that came to support the celebration of motherhood in the K and PP areas. Every child had someone to share in the pampering and activities. It was lovely to see the engagement and the beautiful photos taken at the photo booths. Thank you to the staff for the preparation of the activities throughout the spaces and thank you to other staff members who were able to engage with some of the students and help them to participate in the activities.
Camino’s
Pilgrimage is a journey to honour God. The tradition of pilgrimage at HCC, arose out of the College’s special links with the Benedictine community of New Norcia, with particular reference to the life story of Dom Rosendo Salvado. The Camino Salvado is a pilgrimage in the spirit of the Spanish Camino de Santiago and trails from St Joseph’s Church in Subiaco to New Norcia, a distance of approximately 200km.
Below is a list of the intended Camino’s for 2021.

Wishing you a Mother’s Day that brings some happiness and fond memories.
‘To the world you are a Mother, but to your family, you are the world.’
Kind regards
Ms Julie Hornby
