Mother’s Day Liturgy

Thank you to our parents who attended the liturgy and light breakfast in the HCC CAFÉ. It was a beautiful liturgy, reminding us of the honour of Mothering and being a daughter. The Kindergarten classes celebrated Mother’s Day with activities in the Tui playground. Thank you to Deputy of Faith – Ben Bull, Liturgists – Jackie Holbrook and Drew Griffith, Faith Coordinator –Jesse De Leon, and Class Teachers – Deanna Russo, Abbey Rowlands and Hannah Sibbald. A very special thank you to Cathie Lewis and the Café staff for preparing and organising the breakfast. Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday.

Friends of Holy Cross (FHC)

Thank you to our wonderful parents who helped out with the Mother’s Day Stalls every morning this week. Thank you to Michelle Francis and the Executive for the preparation for the meetings and the plans for our coming events. The FHC meetings are now conducted in person and on TEAMS. The next meeting is on 13 June 2022 at 6:30pm. A link will be provided closer to the date.

Talented Students

Two of our year Eight students, Sebastian Beazley (Yr 8) and Zai Gordon (Yr 8) are representing WA in intermediate league national baseball championships which is played in Mildura Victoria in May. Both boys have worked hard to achieve their goals and have played outstandingly well to be selected in their district representative teams. Both teams played over the Easter weekend with Wanneroo Giants (Sebastian’s team) playing Eastern Phantoms (Zai’s team) in the Grand final of the state championship which qualified both teams to travel and compete in Mildura. Well done! We wish you both the very best.

Lego Masters Come to Lego Club

Once again our Lego Club had a visit from Lego Masters of Channel 9. Current contestant Kirsti was on Live Stream giving a tutorial to our Lego Club students. Lego is truly a ‘Learn through play’ activity engaging in all STEM area and our 6Cs. Thank you to Chris McRae who’s passion for learning brings so much enrichment to our College.
