New Appointments and New Structures

Dear Holy Cross College Community,

Staffing

Mrs Shiny Joseph has accepted the role of Learning Area Coordinator – Mathematics for 2021.

Ms Nisha D’Lima has accepted the role of Learning Area Coordinator – Religious Education.

We welcome Mr Daniel Gevaux, as our new IT and Digital Technologies teacher.

We also welcome Mr Drew Griffiths and Mrs Jackie Holbrook, who will both be working with the student’s liturgical hymn singing, band and movement, across K-12.

Welcome to Mrs Shenika Bennell, our new Aboriginal Education Assistant, who will commence next term.

Mrs Kelly Hannan, is also welcomed, and joins our Home Economics teams as an Assistant.

Friends of Holy Cross

Thank you to parents for organising the bingo community event. Thank you to our families and staff that were able to attend the Bingo night. From all reports, it was very successful, and a lot of fun had by all.

Swimming Carnival

Thank you to Liam Smith, once again, for the organisation of the Junior Swimming Carnival last week.  The students displayed such great support for one another, and students exceeded their personal best.  Thank you to our staff, and parents who helped to ensure the day was a good one.

Reviews

We are currently reviewing some of the processes and procedures at the College in order to meet the needs of all students. Holy Cross College student numbers are increasing, and wider ranging support systems are being considered, as well as a focus being placed upon senior secondary structures, SCSA requirements and the changing processes of our universities. More information will be communicated shortly.

Parish Mass

Thank you for my very affirming welcome during and after Mass on Sunday. I am truly blessed to be part of such a supportive, faith filled community. I look forward to working with Fr Bonaventure and the ‘St Helena of the Holy Cross’ parish members over the coming years.
