The 2019 Performing Arts Festival is well underway and Holy Cross has enjoyed a particularly successful first week! The week commenced with Primary Piano Performance at Zenith Music in Claremont and our Junior School students lead the way with students from Years Four and Six participating in this particular section, representing the College with pride. Well done to Buu Nguyen (Year Four) and Addysen Bloomfield (Year Six) for their performances! Thanks to Mrs Kerri Sloper and Mr Dario Jiritano for preparing these students so well!

On Thursday night, a group of Middle and Senior School Drama students travelled to St Norbert College in Queens Park for the Secondary Drama Section. Scenes from both ‘Hotel Sorrento’ and ‘The Terrible Fate of Humpty Dumpty’ were presented for performance and both groups performed to a high standard and were treated to some excellent performances from other participating schools. Special thanks to staff involved, in particular to Mrs Jackie Cuff for her work with the Year Seven to Ten students.

Next week will see another busy week for Holy Cross in the Performing Arts Festival with the following events upcoming:
– Monday 5 August: Secondary Vocal Solos at Zenith Music, Claremont
– Tuesday 6 August: Christian Dance at Mercy College, Koondoola
– Friday 8 August: Contemporary Bands at Prendiville Catholic College, Ocean Reef
We look forward to all of these upcoming performances!
