Dear Holy Cross College Community,
As you are aware, we are having a very unusual start to the 2021 school year. I sincerely hope that you are safe, and well, at this time.
This is a very challenging time for us all with the current COVID-19 developments and restrictions. The situation with the bushfire, also impacting upon our Holy Cross College community, makes for very trying times. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. The safety of all our staff, families, friends and relatives is a priority and we wish for all students to be able to return to school feeling safe, when the time comes.
This week staff are preparing for the students to return to school on Monday, as well as preparing for remote learning, should the need arise. The team at Holy Cross are keeping optimistic. If we are directed to conduct online remote learning, more details will be communicated to you about the process, at that time, including what will be required for students in the early years. Either way, the staff will be prepared. We await further direction from our CEWA Executive Director, Dr Debra Sayce, following the direction from our Premier, Mr Mark McGowan.
This week staff are also aiming to make contact with all of our families either via video message or a phone call.
I look forward to commencing the school year, and greeting many of you for the first time. I have already discovered what a positive and productive staff we have.
Dear God
Please keep our families, friends and loved ones safe. Please watch over them always, and let good health, happiness, and good fortune befall them.
Amen.
Kind regards
Mrs Julie Hornby, Principal
