Rehearsals are well underway for the 2021 College Production of Oliver Twist. After being postponed in 2020, the cast and crew are excited to bring the classic characters of the Charles Dickens story to life! The cast travelled to the Swan Valley Adventure Centre this weekend to participate in a three day camp filled with intensive rehearsals, character building activities and choreography sessions as well as some terrific team building games, an Oliver Twist Movie Night and more!
The cast, ranging from students in Years 7-12 worked incredibly hard and put in an amazing amount of energy across the three days, connecting as a collaborative team and really beginning to explore their characters, relationships and strengths in the rehearsal room.
Several highlights included a vibrant game of Spotlight and Glow Games on the first night, students working on original choreography for the Townspeople’s Dance Chorus and some incredible acting in the rehearsal room in these early stages.
This year’s production camp was an exciting and fun filled experience for the cast, crew and staff team filled with energy that will be brought back to the rehearsal room at school. Friendships were formed and a family was established. We can’t wait to bring Oliver Twist to the stage next term!
