Project Compassion 2019

As we approach the end of Lent, we begin to conclude our fundraising and awareness activities for Project Compassion 2019. Project Compassion is an initiative by Caritas Australia, a Catholic organisation that brings together thousands of Australians in solidarity with some of the world’s poorest people, working to bring about justice and dignity for all. Our commitment to raising awareness and fundraising for this cause is a distinct reflection of our faith as a Catholic community. Throughout the Term a diverse range of activities including HCC’s Got Talent, food Stalls and games have been organised by our staff and student, in an effort to raise much needed funds for the vulnerable in our world, to assist them to develop their strengths and create change in their own communities.

A reminder to families to please return their Project Compassion boxes, which where distributed from Ash Wednesday, at the start of Lent. By returning boxes to the College or to the Parish, you can be assured the money raised will reach those people in greatest need of it.

Thank you for support of Project Compassion in 2019. May all have a safe and joyful Easter.

Mr Ben Bull. Assistant Deputy Principal – Faith
