The Magic of Bambert

Holy Cross College is very lucky to be a part of the ‘Inspire’ Program through Barking Gecko Theatre. This is a fully subsidised three year program allowing students from outer metropolitan schools access to professional theatre experiences. Today, the Year Four and Five cohorts travelled to the Octagon Theatre at the University of Western Australia for a special performance of ‘Bambert’s Book of Lost Stories’, a beautiful tale of a little man with big ideas. The students were captivated by the creativity of Bambert’s world and for many it was their first time attending a professional theatre performance.

In addition to the performance, students engaged in a Q&A with the cast afterwards, gaining an insight into acting and the production of the show and even got to meet the cast and the star of the show…Bambert himself! Overall it was a truly memorable experience and we cannot wait to experience more Barking Gecko magic in 2021!
