Year Two students have been extremely busy this term! We are enjoying the sunny days outside in the Fitzroy courtyard, even taking our learning outside when the weather is good!
Students have been working extremely hard to plan, write and publish their own information reports. They have worked collaboratively to detail facts about various animals, including adjectives to make their writing more descriptive. Students have also written information reports about their favourite toys. This links in with our History unit for this term, which has seen students exploring toys and technologies from the past and present.
In our Year Two learning space, we have welcomed a new addition in the ‘Calm Down Cube.’ Mr Newton who works in our Design and Technology Department, so kindly built it for us. The cube sits in our classroom ‘quiet zone’ which provides a calm space for students to work in or take the time to with challenging situations. The students have been using the cube for quiet time and are absolutely loving it.
We are looking forward to an excellent week of learning during LIFE Week!
