Year 7 Archaeology Day

On Monday, 24th May, Year 7 students participated in their Humanities and Social Sciences Archaeology Day. Students moved through a series of hands on activities including a small-scale archaeology excavation hosted by archaeologists from Archae-Aus, making their own artefact from modelling clay, creating an advertisement for archaeology, code breaking using hieroglyphics and an artefact re-fit.

Archaeology day gave students the opportunity to put their classroom learning about investigating the ancient past into practice and they will be able to bring their skills and understandings into the classroom as they continue their journey of exploring the ancient world.
