This term in Mathematics, students have been learning to use different strategies when solving addition problems. Students have been participating actively in number talks, whereby they are required to solve a problem in many different ways. Students have enjoyed sharing their thoughts and ideas with the class and learning from their peers. Students have used cubes, keys and locks and games to showcase their learning.

During our morning reading activities, students have been participating in reader’s theatre. The focus has been on reading with expression. The students are allocated time to practice with their group before performing in front of the class. We have really enjoyed watching our peers change their tone, pitch, pace and volume when reading!
