Class of 2025 Farewell!

The Year 12s embraced every moment of the final week. From shared breakfasts to their final House and College Assemblies. These events weren’t just about saying goodbye; they were about honouring the transformation that has taken place in each of them over their years at Holy Cross.

One of the personal highlights for me this year was the opportunity to share morning tea with every Year 12 student. These moments of connection gave me a glimpse into their hopes, their humour, and their love for Holy Cross College. Their lives are just beginning, and the road ahead is full of possibility.

As they now turn their focus to the WACE examinations, I want to share a message I offered them during their farewell: work harder than what you’re paid for, and life will be kind to you. This mindset of giving more than is expected, will serve them well not only in exams, but in every chapter of their lives.

We also reminded our students of the words of our College Prayer for 2025, inspired by Blessed Irene McCormack: face life without fear. Irene’s life was one of courage, service, and unwavering faith. As our graduates step into the unknown, we hope they carry that same spirit—knowing that the fear of the unknown is not something to avoid, but something to embrace. It is, in many ways, one of life’s greatest joys.

To all our Year 12 families, thank you for your partnership, your support, and your trust. Your children have left a lasting mark on our College, and we are proud of the young people they have become.

We wish them every success in their WACE exams and beyond. Please encourage them to stay connected. They will always be part of the Holy Cross College family.

God bless the Class of 2025.
