Today is ‘All Souls’ Day’, a day to remember those that have passed. All Souls’ Day is a day to pray for all souls. Among Catholics, prayers are offered for those in purgatory, waiting to get into heaven. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.”
Annual Celebration Evening
Congratulations to all of our students who received awards on our Annual Celebration Evening. We celebrate and share how you value your education and pray that you can continue along this pathway in the coming years. We also hope other students are inspired to achieve more.
I congratulate the staff for taking the extra time to ensure students are ready to learn, the curriculum is accessible and the lessons well planned. Our staff are very dedicated, and I know these students have appreciated the relationships they have built with the teachers, and of course with our non-teaching staff. We are a community where we work with our parents in partnership towards the holistic education of young people. Our mission is that, with Christ as our guiding light and in the spirit of Oscar Romero, we empower our student to have life to the full.
