World Teachers Day

God of Love,

Thank you for every teacher who notices a child’s special gift.

Thank you for teachers who are listeners and gentle guides.

Thank you for teachers who expect much and love enough to demand more.

Thank you for the special teacher each one of us remembers.

God of Justice, help and support teachers in their special calling, wherever they teach and whatever obstacles they must face.

We pray these things in the name of our great teacher, Jesus Christ.

        Amen

World Teachers Day

As we celebrate World Teachers’ Day today, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for the incredible work our staff do day in and day out. Their dedication to educating and nurturing our students is a beacon of hope, and I am grateful for their tireless efforts.

Teaching is not merely a profession; it’s a vocation that molds the minds and hearts of future generations. Teachers’ commitment to this noble calling does not go unnoticed. They are the architects of knowledge, and their passion for imparting wisdom empowers our students to become informed, inspired, and engaged citizens of the world.

On this special day, I want to acknowledge their pivotal role in shaping the future. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom walls, and their impact is immeasurable. Thank you to Mrs Davini – Deputy Inter-relationships and the Friends of Holy Cross for enabling us to celebrate the day.

Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association Carnival – Winners!

I am thrilled to extend my congratulations to each and every student that attended the CPSSA Inter-school carnival for their spectacular victory at the carnival today. Their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding performance have brought great honour and pride to the College.

Your achievement is a testament to the hours of hard work, practice, and determination that you put into preparing for this event. You showcased not only your talent but also the true spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

I want to commend not only the athletes but also Mr Glen Downing and parents who played an essential role in training, motivating, and cheering for our team. It takes a collective effort to achieve such a victory, and your collaboration is greatly appreciated.

Also today was the Inclusive sports carnival and I thank the Ms Christine Hayes and the PE staff making for this event a success.

Arts Showcase

Congratulations to the Arts Staff for their tireless efforts and dedication in making  the Arts Showcase a resounding success. Your hard work, creativity, and passion shone brightly, and it was an enjoyable event that showcased the remarkable talents within our community. The Arts Showcase brought our community together, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for the arts.

Year 12 Graduation & Exams

It was a wonderful celebration last week when our Year 12 students officially graduated from the College. I thank Father Bonaventure for celebrating the mass. I would like to thank Mrs Davini – Deputy relationships, Mrs de Courcier – Inter-relationships leader and the pastoral team for their organisation of the evening. The administration staff under the leadership of Mrs Whitton were also instrumental for organising the awards presented on the evening. I wish the Year 12 students good luck next week in their final external exams.
